Preserve your butter in this hand-made Farmhouse Pottery dish inspired by butter-preserving practices kept by the French since the eighteenth century. Designed to allow you to store butter outside of the fridge while maintaining its natural softness and consistency, this durable dish is both microwave and dishwasher safe. For maximum freshness, add a layer of slightly salted water to the base of the dish, pack the lid of the dish with butter, and store the lid inside the base. The water provides an airtight seal, so your butter won’t spoil. Change the water every two to three days and store at room temperature.
